Marian Stefanski

Marian Jane Stefanski, age 81, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2016. She was born on March 8, 1934 in Burton, MI to parents Spencer and Pauline (Prout) Roberts. She graduated from Flint Central High School in 1952. On May 4, 1953, Marian married her first and only love, Anthony Stefanski, who preceded her in death. Together they raised five children. Marian was a faithful member at Holy Family Catholic Church for 51 years, volunteering for many years at the school and serving on the Guild, Outreach Group, and 55+ Group. Marian enjoyed many things like bowling, golfing, baking, and going for walks. For the past five years, Marian has resided at Silver Maples of Chelsea where she was very involved. She served on the hospitality committee, resident council, food committee, and woman’s group. Marian was the binding heart of her entire family. Everyone who knew her would describe her as a beloved and devoted mother with a radiant heart and soul. She was truly the embodiment of kindness. Marian is survived by her children: Sheryl (Christopher) Marzonie, Michael (Rebecca Cason) Stefanski, Allen (Veronica Schaner) Stefanski, Robert (Lynn Brown) Stefanski, Kathryn James; grandchildren: Arron, Eric, Nicholas, Paul, Charlee, Riley, Jackson; great grandson, Enzo; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both parents; husband, Anthony Stefanski; siblings: Virginia, Spencer, Donald, Erwin, and Betty. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church (11824 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc). Monsignor Jerry Vincke celebrating. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm with a Rosary being prayed at 7pm at Hill Funeral Home (11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc), there will also be an hour of visitation on Saturday at the church prior to the service. Interment will take place at Flint Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be given to Holy Family Catholic Church or Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (www.lls.org).
