Nina spent most of her career working for McBee accounting systems and retired as their national sales trainer. In her personal life, she focused on spending time with her family, caring for animals, volunteering at her church, collecting antiques, and making friends everywhere she went. She was quick-witted and loved to make her family and friends laugh.
She is preceded in death by John, her husband of 56 years. She is survived by her three children, Shawn MacGillivray (James Gamache) of Flint, MI, Mattison (Teresa) MacGillivray of Columbia, SC, and Corey (Stephanie) MacGillivray of Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Nina had seven grandchildren, Wesley (Andrea) Bastion, Whitney Oldenberg, Molly Denney (Marshall Rickards), Bradford (Jennie Kotovara) MacGillivray, Caroline MacGillivray, Michael MacGillivray, and Alison MacGillivray. Nina had three great-grandchildren, Riley Holdbrooks, Hudson Bastion, and Greyson Bastion. Nina was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Chrystol Miller, and her sister Matye. She is survived by her brother Clint (Shirley) Miller.
Nina's family will receive friends at Brown Funeral Home on Monday, August 29, 2022, from 3 pm until 7 pm. A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Flint on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at 11 am, with visitation beginning at 10 am. The Reverend Paul Yetterock will officiate. A private family burial will take place at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Flint, Adopt-A-Pet of Fenton, or the Thomas Smith Memorial Foundation.
