Norma J. Sophiea

Norma J. Sophiea, age 96, of Clarkston, Michigan passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025. NORMA JEAN (KHOURY) SOPHIEA LOVED HER FAMILY MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE IN THE WORLD. Norma was a strong, independent woman who never failed to say, “I LOVE YOU”. Norma’s greatest pleasure came from seeing her family together, enjoying and loving each other. Norma married William (Bill) Sophiea, when she was twenty years old and they lived a happy, successful and loving life for over 60 years. Together they owned and operated the Grand Blanc Big Boy restaurant before retiring to their winter home in Marco Island, Fl and their permanent home in Clarkston, MI.

Norma was predeceased by her husband William and her son in law Steven Harchick. She is survived by her two sons, William (Elise) Sophiea, Robert Sophiea, and her daughter Sandra (Scott) Sophiea-Fairmont;; her grandchildren Robert Sophiea Jr. (Blaire), Jennifer Mlynarek (Kevin), Sarah Harchick, Alexandra Sophiea, Kristopher Sophiea, Will (Lauren) Sophiea, Jeffrey Sophiea and Samantha (Tristan) Bomont; and eight great grandchildren (Jackson, Grant, and Kate Harchick; Gabe, Marissa, and Macy Mlynarek; Ava Scott, Robert Sophiea III). Norma was blessed to live more than 96 years and died peacefully in her sleep.
