Patricia Ann Barrow

Patricia Ann Barrow, age 87 of Grand Blanc, died peacefully in her sleep while at home with her family. She was born on March 1, 1932 in Detroit to parents Fern and Hank Poff. She graduated from Wayne State University and then went on to teach in the Detroit Public Schools and while she was there met and married Donald. Together they had two children, Kim and Doug. Patricia returned to work in the Grand Blanc Schools as a substitute teacher. She enjoyed traveling, crossword puzzles, and was a lifetime fan of the Detroit Tigers. Patricia leaves to cherish her memory: husband of 55 years, Donald Barrow; children: Kim Barrow of Redford, Doug (Sarah) Barrow of Ft. Wayne, IN; grandchildren: Dylan Barrow and Kate Barrow of Ft. Wayne, IN; sister, Nancy (Bob) Button of Charlottesville, VA. She was preceded in death by both parents. The family would like to acknowledge and give special thanks to the staff of Reverence Home Health and Hospice for their continuous care and compassion. A memorial service will be held at 4pm on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service, beginning at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Reverence Home Health and Hospice or the Michigan Humane Society.
