Petter ("Pete") William Berg, a fun-loving hunter and fisherman passed away on December 26, 2025, at the age of 86. Petter was born on May 16, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Hans and Ruth Berg.
Petter was known for his love of the outdoors and his skill as a woodworker. He spent over 40 years as a builder, leaving a legacy of craftsmanship. In his, later years he enjoyed fishing with his brother, driving his golf cart, and visiting the local Moose Lodge in his second home, Bradenton, Florida. He also repaired fishing rods and donated them to local children, sharing his passion for the outdoors and giving back to his community.
He is survived by his daughters, Kathleen (Tom) Kitts and Suzanne (Scott) Kyes; his special friend, Sandra Doherty; and his grandchildren, Lauren MacNaughton, Emma Kyes, and Anna Kyes. Petter was preceded in death by his parents, Hans and Ruth Berg; his granddaughter, Jennifer MacNaughton; his brother, Arne Berg; and his sister-in-law, Carol Berg.
