Ronald W Burns, (age 82) died on Wednesday, April 4, 2012. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 9, 2012 at 11 am at Grand Blanc United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 10 am until the time of the service on Monday. Internment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Ron was born on June 6, 1929 in South Lyon, Michigan. He was married to Patricia on June 11, 1955. Ron loved God, his wife and family, and his country. He was an avid sports fan, especially rooting for the MSU Spartans and the Detroit Tigers. Surviving are wife, Pat; daughters, Laure Mieskowski (Dick), Lee Kaufman (Ken), Linda Bowling (David), Leslie Schonfeld (David), Lois Walker (Steve), 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents Burton and Winifred Burns and brother Robert Burns. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Grand Blanc United Methodist Church, Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, or FISH of Grand Blanc.
