Ruby B. Green, age 95 of Grand Blanc, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018. She was born on October 24, 1922 in Collinwood, TN to parents James and Lula (Butler) Robertson. She was a “Rosie the Riveter” during WWII, working on war planes while her husband was stationed overseas. Afterwards, Ruby became a homemaker and she took great pride in taking care of her home and her flowers. For many years she sold Stanley Home products. She was a faithful member of Eastgate Baptist Church and prayer warrior – always praying for anyone who needed it. She was also a Sunday School teacher for many years – she loved serving and had a heart for missions. Ruby is survived by her children: Diana (Paul) Kesler, Mike (Paula) Green, Mitchell (Patricia McCaffrey-Green) Green, and Cheryl (Scott) Laramore; grandchildren: Brian (Angie Stuller), Chuck (Emily), April (Rob), Leann (Brian), Katie (Eric), Andy (Gina), Phil (Marun), Elisabeth (John), Peter (Katie), Christian, Deanna (Travis), and Allison (Steffan); 27 great grandchildren; siblings: Hubert, Jean, Janie, and Hoyte. She was preceded in death by both parents; husband, Charles Green; grandchildren; Tony and Julie; great grandchildren: Isaiah and Caiden; brothers: James, Clyde. A funeral service will take place at 11am on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Eastgate Baptist Church, 4226 E. Atherton Rd., Burton. Rev. Phil Green and Pastor Jerome Taylor officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 from 2-8pm at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, and again on Tuesday, one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10am. Interment at Flint Memorial Park. Those considering may make a memorial contribution to Eastgate Baptist Church or National Right to Life.
