

Sharon Kay Snuffer, passed away on December 18, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on March 1, 1942, Sharon led a life full of passion and commitment, leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered by many.
Sharon dedicated her entire career to teaching English and Drama at Grand Blanc High School, and she was also deeply involved in the drama department. Her love for teaching and her students was evident in her work, and she enjoyed every moment spent in the classroom.
Beyond her professional life, Sharon was an avid reader and a lover of movies, particularly westerns, which she fondly referred to as her "cowboy movies." She was a film and theatre buff and had a special appreciation for literature, with a particular fondness for the works of Emily Dickinson. Sharon was also a big shopper on QVC, one of her favorite channels, and had a deep love for animals, especially dogs.
Sharon Kay Snuffer will be remembered for her devotion to her career, her love for the arts, and her kind heart. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who knew her.
Sharon leaves behind to cherish her memory her special friends John and Mickie Riek, Erin (Ryan) O'Connor and their children Cameron and Katie, Matthew (Bess) Riek and their children Charlie, Molly and Alex, Nathan (Kathleen) Riek and their children Max and Ramona, and her cherished coworkers at Grand Blanc High School. For over fifty years “Snuffer” was a member of the Riek family. She attended every Christmas celebration , countless holiday gatherings, school and sporting events, graduations, weddings, dance recitals, and birthday parties. She also was there through every trial and crisis that a family faces. Her favorite part about the Riek family was no matter the occasion, cake was always involved!
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Hugh and Louise (Drake) Snuffer, brother Charles Snuffer and Aunt Rosalie.
A special thanks to the staff at Wellbridge in Grand Blanc. Kay spoke highly of her caregivers which was a testament to the care and compassion they provided
Cremation has taken place. A graveside service for Sharon will take place at a later date and time.
