Shirley Ruth Chapman-Petty – Age 78, of Burton, died January 11, 2015 at her home. Shirley was born November 2, 1936 in Little Rock, Arkansas the daughter of Howard and Ruth Whitten. She served her country as a Nurse with the U.S. Army. Shirley retired from Delphi in 1995. Surviving are her children, Melissa Chapman, Jeanette Cook, Micheal Chapman; grandchildren, Shannon Harvoth, Jason Chapman; great grandchildren, Gavin and Genevieve Harvoth; sisters, Joyce Kirkes, Donna Ryder, Janelle Weaver. Friends may visit the family from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI. The Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2015 at the funeral home.
