Shirley Ann Gough

Shirley A. Gough, age 83, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2016. She was born on August 23, 1932 in Lapeer, MI to parents The Honorable Wellington E. and Marguerite M. (Williams) Rowden. Shirley graduated from Lapeer High School in the memorable class of 1950. She is survived by her children: Theodore (Carrie) Waffa and Tannith (Edward) Parker; step-children: Kay Zasa and Claire Peterson; grandchildren: Bradley Waffa, Bryan Waffa, and Carlyn Waffa; step-grandchildren: Kevin Hargis, Jen Kuenzli, David Ohno, and Kent Peterson; sister, Betty (Leigh) McPherson; nieces: Debbie Muldoon and LouAnn Frantz; nephew, Alan McPherson. She was preceded in death by both parents; husband, Ross P. Gough; grandson, Theodore Waffa, Jr. The family would like to give a special thanks to Shirley’s doctor, Dr. EJ Daros and his staff, and also to Reverence Home Health & Hospice for their continuous care and support. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Hill Funeral Home (11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc). Rev. Karen Knight-Price officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00am until the time of service on Wednesday. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given in Shirley’s name to the Kids Street Program – Trinity United Methodist Church (1310 N Main St, Lapeer, MI 48446).
