Susan Mary Ballard

BALLARD, Susan Mary – age 74 of Flint, MI passed away Thursday, June11, 2015 at her residence. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Wednesday June 17, 2015 at 11AM at Court Street United Methodist Church – 225 W. Court St. Flint, MI 48502. Reverend Robert Wright officiating. Inurnment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Susan was born February 27, 1941 in Flint, MI to the late George and Mary (Kristelli) Dicker. Susan graduated from Southwestern High School in Flint, MI. She married Verle Robert Ballard Jr. on December 23, 1988 at Court Street United Methodist Church. Susan worked for General Motors and retired after 22 years of employment. She was a member of Court Street United Methodist Church. She was also an active member of Local 599 retirees, Genesee County Sheriff’s Reserve, and Flintstone’s camping group. Susan also enjoyed crafting and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Surviving are her husband, Verle “Bob” Ballard Jr; children, Sheridan (Jason) Baldwin, Tiffany (Mike) Varner, and Robin Ballard; grandchildren, Patrick, Daren, and Andrew Baldwin; brothers, Richard (Sharon) Dicker, Donald Dicker; sister, Linda (Carl) Leser; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and son; Keith Ballard.
