Albert Franklin Jorgensen

November 10, 1944 – May 4, 2025

Frank Albert F. Jorgensen, 80, of Fruta, Colorado, passed away on May 4, 2025, at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was born on November 10, 1944, in Price, Utah, to Lamar Jorgensen and Leona Albrechtsen.

Frank proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1965, including time stationed in Korea. After his military service, he worked at the petroleum companies and Flying J and Pilot as a truck driver and later retired.

A true car enthusiast, Frank took great pride in restoring his 1955 Oldsmobile Rocket 88. He also enjoyed motorcycle riding and horseback riding.

Frank spent much of his life in Fruta, Colorado, and previously lived in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He was divorced and is survived by his son, Joseph Jorgensen of Marietta, Georgia, and his brother Jack Jorgensen of Hotchkiss, Colorado. He was a proud grandfather to two grandchildren. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jerry and Michael, and sister Karen.

A Commemoration of Life will be held on May 9, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Calhoun-Godfast Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cloverport Cemetery in Cloverport, Kentucky.

Frank will be remembered for his love of engines, adventure, and the open road.
