Allan James Sinicki, 66, passed away peacefully at home on March 12th, 2024. He had been in a battle with esophageal cancer for the last year and a half receiving many chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy treatments. Being the strong, tough, and stubborn old man that he was, he exceeded many of the doctor’s expectations, however, in the end it wasn’t enough. Allan was cremated and a celebration of life will be held on June 8th in his remembrance.
Allan was born on August 5th, 1957 to John and Elsie Sinicki. He was the youngest son of three older brothers; Larry, Raymond, and Johnny. Allan was always wanting to tag along and be a part of everything they were doing. Eager to impress, he was easily persuaded by his brothers to do the things they would not do, as they were trying not to get themselves into trouble.
As Allan grew older, he taught himself to ride the unicycle and enjoyed riding dirt bikes. He regularly snuck off with one of his brother’s dirt bikes when nobody was looking. He wasn’t actually big enough to ride it, so he had to push it to the front yard and use the front porch step to get on. Sure enough, the dirt bike always made it home safely before anybody knew it was gone.
After graduating from Ranum High School, Allan naturally followed in his brother’s footsteps and entered the construction industry. He was an excellent carpenter, educated by his brothers in the trade. He built many houses in the Denver metro area in the shortest cut-off jean shorts you could possibly imagine. He moved on to doing custom homes, remodeling post offices, and eventually retired after building and repairing fences and decks with his youngest son in neighborhoods stretching from Castle Rock to Fort Collins.
Allan was a loving and supportive dad to his three children Lyle, Casey, and Sheena. You could always depend on him to be at the countless ball games, awards ceremonies, or birthday parties. He never hesitated to catch pitches or set up the basketball hoop for his kids, even if that meant taking time away from whatever he was doing at the moment.
He liked taking his kids to spend time outdoors. Trips usually started out by rumbling down the road in the old green and white Chevy truck, everybody sprawled across the single cab bench seat. Oftentimes they’d be headed to the lake with the boat and camper in tow, up to the cabin, or out on a hunting trip. It was the outdoors where he built the best memories with his children and taught them lessons about life.
Allan was predeceased by his father John, mother Elsie, and brother Larry.
He is survived by his children Lyle, Casey, and Sheena, their spouses Jade, Jaymie, and Coltin, grandchildren Jayden, Maycie, Grayson, Maddex, Maverick, Lexsi, Rip, Bowen, and Blakely, brothers Raymond and Johnny, and his dog Maggie.
With heartfelt gratitude we would like to thank all of our family and friends for their unending kindness, love, support, and prayers. We would also like to thank the various care teams with extra special thanks to Dr. Jonathan King and his staff. We cannot thank you enough for taking care of our Dad.
