Allen Gerald Boettcher

In 1947 his family moved to Arizona, working their way across country with his Mom and brothers.

He met Shirley in 1957 and they were married in August 1957. He worked for General Electric in Arizona starting in 1953, until the company transferred him to San Jose, CA, in 1968. He retired in 1983 and moved to Colorado. Allen then worked at Sunstrand until 1999, when he retired from there.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley; daughters, Faith Dupre of Palisade, CO, and Cindy Boettcher Hale (J C Hale) of Grand Junction; grandsons, Joe Dupre of Salt Lake City, UT, and Kenny Reeves of Palisade; and brother, James Boettcher of Phoenix, AZ.

He loved hunting and fishing. Allen was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since he was seven years old. He will be truly missed.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019, from 6-8 PM at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019, at 10:30 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2881 Orchard Avenue, Grand Junction, CO. Graveside service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 5, at New Elmwood Cemetery in Fruita, CO.
