Barbara A Fox

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Barbara Anne Fox (Dietrich), who left us peacefully on March 9, 2025 at the age of 75. She was surrounded by her loving family in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Barbara was born on June 27, 1949 in Las Animas, Colorado to Norbert and Geraldine Dietrich. A courageous and independent spirit from the beginning, Barbara moved to Washington, D.C. after high school to work for the FBI. It was there she met her first husband, Carl, and later moved to Chicago, Illinois where they welcomed their children Mark and Christy.

Eventually returning to her home state of Colorado, Barbara built a lifelong career in automotive finance. Her dedication and leadership as a Controller led her across the country to New Mexico, Georgia, and Texas. Along the way, she met the love of her life, Paul Fox, with whom she shared 32 wonderful years of marriage.

Barbara had a deep love for her family, friends and traveling. After retiring, she and Paul enjoyed their time in Las Vegas, making cherished memories and dear friends through their church and travels together. Barbara really loved to cruise with Paul and their friends. In recent years, they relocated to Grand Junction to be closer to her siblings to share in even more treasured moments.

Barbara is survived by her devoted husband, Paul along with her children: Mark (Karen) children Marissa, Emily, Caitlin, Megan, and Courtney; Christy (Will) children Pierce and Hayden. She is also survived by her stepchildren: Matt (Kathy) children Haley, Rachel and Hayden; Leslie (Scott) children Nick, Logan and Brandon. Barbara also has several adored great-grandchildren. Barbara’s beloved siblings Linda, Jack, Tom, Joan and Debbie along with their extended families and her cousins will all miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Norbert and Geraldine, her brothers-in-law Larry and Dave, and her cousins Greg, Jeff and Nick.

Barbara’s kindness, strength, and warmth will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
