Carlson Mederios Vincent Jr. was born on November 21, 1955, in Oakland, California, and grew up in Hayward. On February 13, 1975, he proudly joined the U.S. Air Force, where he served as a Jet Engine Mechanic and achieved the rank of Airman First Class (A1C).
After his military service, Carl returned to California, where he built a life as a dedicated truck driver and loving father to his daughter, Tanya. In 2014, he moved to Parachute, Colorado, where he met Jeanette—the love of his later years. They became engaged soon after and shared 11 beautiful years together, living by their promise: “Forever and a day.” They were officially married on June 4, 2016.
Carl retired from trucking in 2020, enjoying quiet days with Jeanette and time with family. He passed peacefully on April 14, 2026, at Grand River Hospital in Rifle, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlson Vincent Sr. and Elda Vincent. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Vincent of Parachute; daughter Tanya Stone (Josh); sister Carrie Mincolla (Michael) of Tracy, California; niece Jennifer Ollis, nephew Gary Ollis, and grandnephew Hunter Piersill.
A graveside service with military honors will be held in his honor on May 14, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Veterans Cemetery of Western Colorado in Grand Junction.
