Ms. Gardner was a nurse.
Survivors include her husband, Ervin Shinskey of Grand Junction; one son, Austin Faria of San Diego, three daughters, Cathy Gardner of Taylorsville, Utah, Alexis Faria of Grand Junction and Ashley Faria of Yuma, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.
