She returned to her heavenly home on December 3, 2021 at the age of 93.
She married the love of her life, George Payne in Taos, New Mexico on June 10, 1945 and was sealed for time and all eternity in the Saint George Utah Temple on June 21, 1997.
Carolee was a wonderful cook and made the best bread in the world, skills she passed on to her children.
Carolee loved children and spent her retirement years volunteering for the Foster Grandparent Program in Grand Junction for 18 years.
She had one of the biggest hearts and loved her family very, very much; each and every one of them, which was a lot.
Her love of her family was only superseded by her love for The Lord.
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she served faithfully in any calling she was called to.
Carolee is preceded in death by her parents; her six siblings; her husband; two children; and one great-grandson.
