Charles (Chuck) Haigler peacefully passed away on February 5, 2026 at HopeWest Hospice. He was born on August 6, 1940 and was raised on a sheep ranch in Monte Vista, Colorado. After graduating from Adams State College (now University), he moved to Grand Junction to become a chemistry teacher at Grand Junction High School. Grand Junction became his home as he resided here for over 60 years. He appreciated the beauty of the area and enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors on his ATV, camping and hunting.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Burt and Edith; his sisters, Mary Frances Haigler and Dorothy Davis; and his brother, Robert Haigler. He is survived by his sisters, Jean Wolf of Centennial, CO and Joan Shaw of Wichita Falls, TX and by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at First Christian Church in Grand Junction. We will remember a man who embraced his community, knew no strangers and had a smile for all.
