Cora L. White of Hotchkiss, CO passed away December 5, 2015.
She was born at home in Loma, CO to Ralph and Grace Inskeep. She graduated from Fruita Union High School and Mesa State College, marjoring in finance.
On her journey through life, she held several jobs in business offices in Mesa County, and retired from the City of Grand Junction as a Finance Supervisor.
She married Kenneth N. Rushing (deceased) and had four children.
While at the City of Grand Junction, she met Emery A. White and they were married. They spent many years together enjoying travel to Europe, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, plus many American States.
They enjoyed belonging to Veterans Motor Car Club of America and had several restored antique cars and trucks.
Loving her entire family was her life's pride and joy. She enjoyed a great conversation with Jerry Seinfeld in the Paonia Park one day, not realizing who he was. Later, she was quite happy to watch his shows.
She is survived by her children, Teresa Torrens, of Denver; Patricia V. Faas, of Hotchkiss; Connie E. (Lynn) States of Grand Junction and Doug (Barb) Rushing of Grand Junction; sister, Zella (Melford) Wilson of Hotchkiss; 13 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren. Cora is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Emery A. White; sisters, Dorothy, Dolly, Rosalie, Ritchie, and Betty; brothers, John, Harold, and Gerald.
Services are scheduled for Friday, December 11, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Internment will follow at Orchard Mesa Cemetery.
