Survivors include his wife, Cathryn; one son, Rusty of Fort Mohave, Ariz.; two daughters, Tracy Martinez of Olathe and Pam Shilts of Montrose; one sister, Patsy Hoffman of Arkansas; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Dale L. Hindman passed away at home in Montrose, Colorado on Friday, January 10th, 2014, at the age of 83.
Dale was born to Roy Lee and Ruth (Smith) Hindman in Whitewater, Colorado on September 21, 1930. Dale and his four siblings grew up in Western Colorado.
In 1956, Dale married his beloved wife, Cathryn Marie Garner, and they were blessed with three children. The family made their home in Moab, UT and later in Western Colorado. Leading by example, Dale taught his children the importance of family and the value of a good work ethic.
He was a dedicated family man who enjoyed nothing more than his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and baseball. He was beloved by all who knew him.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings. He is survived by his wife, Cathryn Hindman; three children, Floyd, ""Rusty"" Hindman (Marie) of Fort Mohave, AZ; Tracy Martinez (Steve) of Olathe, CO, and Pamela Shilts (Clint) of Montrose, CO; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and one sister.
At Dale's request, the family will hold a Celebration of Life this summer.
Arrangements are under the care of Callahan-Edfast Mortuary in Grand Junction.
