

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at The Art Center, 1803 N. Seventh St., in Grand Junction.
Survivors include his wife, Maggie; two sons, Nicholas of Lawrence, Kansas, and Michael of Camarillo, California; one daughter, Rebecca Ehrle of Huntsville, Alabama; one sister, Christine Hogan of England; and five grandchildren.

David Cook
June 9, 1938 - November 7, 2014
David Cook died peacefully at HopeWest Hospice on November 7th after losing his battle with cancer.
David was born in London in 1938, just before WWII. He attended St. Dunstans College, Catford. He completed his education with high honors. David met the love of his life, Maggie Elliott, at work and they were married in 1959. They went on to have three children.
He had a successful career in the veterinary pharmaceutical business during which he traveled over much of the world. In 1980, he was offered the position of marketing manager for a pharmaceutical company in the United States and the whole family immigrated to Kansas City. He and his wife, Maggie, retired to Battlement Mesa Colorado in 1995, and he returned to his love of landscape painting. Later they moved to Grand Junction. He was a devoted teacher of oil painting and enjoyed joining fellow artists painting in the great outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Maggie; son, Nicholas in Lawrence, Kansas; son, Michael in Camarillo, California, and daughter, Rebecca and son-in law, Doug in Huntsville, Alabama; his sister, Chris Hogan in England, and five grandsons.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Western Colorado Center for the Arts on Thursday, November 13th from 1 - 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate contributions to HopeWest Hospice, Grand Junction, Colorado.
