Donald R. Kern was born August 1, 1930, to Fred and Mary (Rutz) Kern of Lisbon, N.D. Donald served in the army eight years in occupied Germany and Japan.
He married his loving wife, Barbara, in Brentwood, CO., on March 3, 1967. The lived in Aspen and Missouri Heights, where for twenty five years he had an appliance service business named Appliance Kare. He retired and moved to Grand Junction twenty four years ago.
He attend the Covenenat Presbyterian Church. Donald loved to fish watch football, go camping, reading, and to be with his family. His favorite quotes were; "Your health is your wealth." And "Write if you get work."
Donald is survived by his wife, Barbara; step-son Jack D. Renshaw of Rifle, CO.: step daughter Pamela J. Bean (James) of Mesquite, NV.; 5 grandchildren;
7 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 1:00 P.M.
