Donald Arthur McLaughlin

He was born on Sept. 25, 1931 in Scott Township, PA. to Rex and Mary McLaughlin. Don is survived by his wife, Rowena in Gateway CO., his brother Jim (Patricia) in Archbald, PA., son Larry (Christina) in Carver, OR., daughter Mary (Doug) and son Don (Susan) both of Atlanta, GA. Also 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and an abundance of friends.

Don and Rowena resided in the Portland area from 1959 to 1999 and then retired to Gateway, CO. Don was very active in his church in Oregon and Colorado. He served as an elder and mentored many people at their time of need. He was also active in the community attending many school board and county commission meetings. He was involved in the Christian Contractors group and the AGC. He was a great supporter of mission work, especially those involving his grandchildren.

It was Don’s wish and his family’s request as well that in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made to the Yekaterinburg Mission in Russia that reaches out to families and students.
