Don was born in Grand Junction November 2, 1963. He passed away quietly in his home June 21, 2024. He is survived by his wife Denise Phelps, his daughter Tiffany Cooper, stepdaughter Kristen Crossman, his son Ryan Phelps, stepson Damian Fourtner, six grandchildren, his Mother Verna Sackrider, his sisters Lorrie Yoshinaga and Shyrel Blanchette, and his brothers James Phelps and Randy Maley. He proudly served in the Army after graduating from Rifle High School. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, camping, hunting, and driving big trucks hauling heavy equipment.
