

He was born in DeBeque CO to Ruth (Morlock) and George Ullerick Jr. He graduated from DeBeque High School. He then served in the Korean War. When he returned he started working for the Denver Rio Grande Railroad as a signal maintainer. Don retired after 40 years.
He met the love of his life, Mona Buffington, and they were married for 68 years. They had three children that they raised in Bond, McCoy, and Rifle CO; Donna (Kent) Long from Arkansas City KS, Ernie (Mary) Ullerick from Fruita CO, and Tersia Bodin from Delta CO. Grandchildren; Travis (Misti) Long from Mulvane KS, Montica (Erick) Harrison from Blackwell OK, Jeremy (Christine) Bodin, from Farr West UT, Kandace (Jeramy) Stehman from Grand Junction CO, Amber (Jerry) Rios from Eagle CO, Matt (Meka) Ullerick from Grand Junction CO, and Kim Semmens from Denver CO. He also had 24 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
He was a proud member of the American Legion. He also received a 50 year pin as a member of the Egeria Masonic Lodge in Yampa CO.
Don enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends. He was a very loving, thoughtful, kind, and generous husband, father, and grandpa. He always had a big smile, never met a stranger, and was loved by many.
Graveside service will be at the DeBeque Cemetery on Saturday December 18th at 1:00PM
