

Dennis was born in Minnesota by his parents Darlene F. and Donald C. Wiltgen. They moved to Colorado Springs CO Where he met and married his high school sweat-heart Carol-Ann. He went to Junior college in LaJunta where he learned design and electrical leading him to design and change multiple communities in Colorado. He and Carol-Ann raised three children Debbie, David, and Daun During this time he used his electrical background for TRW that was contracted with NASA to create instrumentation for the Apollo mission. In 1976 he moved the family to Grand Junction where he continued his career in the building industry. In his forty year building career in Grand Junction he amassed multiple awards and accolades from peers and industry leaders whether that was Home builders awards or national director of home builder’s association. Dennis was not only an architect who built homes and businesses as a profession through which he changed the landscape of Grand Junction. His masterpieces were not just structures they created the possible out of the impossible. His second talent was his many beautiful paintings. The third and most distinct quality was his dedication, caring and kindness to his family and those he met. The impact he had on others will withstand the test of time and live in the memories made.
