Dearest Grandma, 
I miss you immensely. As we decorated the house for the holidays we came across a couple of Christmas decorations of yours. We have them proudly displayed  and remind of us of your love of family.

Grandma, I think about you often and miss you every day.

Not a day goes by that I don’t think about grandma. Especially in the holiday season. She was such a big part of my life in childhood and I am so proud to have been fortunate to care for her in her later years. I miss that giggle of hers when she thought something was truly funny and didn’t want to share. I miss talking with her about all  the memories we shared. I love you grandma! 

I love grandma and now she is in heaven. I pray for her to be peaceful and know that I am taken care of. My family loves me. I hope she is sitting with Jesus. I love grandma so very much and I miss her. Please say hello to daddy, Aunt Ferol, grandpa, and great grandma. I love all of them and miss them. I have lots of fond memories of time spent with Chris, Grandma, Grandpa. I cherish all the pictures I have of my family and the good times we had. I have a picture of grandma with me now.

I miss grandma more then words can express. She was one of my best friends. I have so many fond memories and grateful for all of them. I want to share a recent one that will become an all time great for me. I was visiting her this Thanksgiving; sharing small talk in short moments. Mostly I was telling her all the wonderful things I wanted her to hear. I was recalling to her one of her favorite stories she like to keep me informed of. When I was born grandma was in the birthing room. She asked the doctor if she could be the one to spank me- ensuring I took my first breath. She was so proud of that moment. As I was recalling the story to her I asked her since she spanked me coming into this world; could I be the to spank her on the way out. I wasn’t sure if she heard me, but all a sudden she let out a small, but hardy laugh. She said no! She was listening to me the whole time- at least I believe in my heart. 
Grandma had a wonderful sense of humor and I will cherish that laugh for the rest of my life.  
Rest In Peace my dear one. You are forever in my heart!!

My grandmother, Dorthy, was a wonderful grandma.  Growing up, she was the only person that I wanted to be partnered with while playing a game of pinochle. She was a great listener and she always wanted to know how I was doing and to make sure that I was okay. Sharing about her own life, she gave me tips to help ease my struggles. 

With the help of friends and her family, Dorthy, was able to navigate living in her own home until just recently. I would like to thank my brother Chris and his wife Phyllis, who have done a beautiful and truly wonderful job taking care of Grandma. 

Dorthy was loved  by my wife, son and I. We will miss her greatly. 

My heart is broken at the loss of our Grandma Bash, but my heart is also filled with love , happiness and wonderful memories.  I remember the day that I met her... she welcomed me to the family like I had been there for years.  My husband adored his Grandma and from that day and over years it was easy to see why.  
Rest in peace Grandma...we will take care of Ginny and rest of the Family as we promised you.
