Dorothy Jensen, 81, of Loma, CO, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019. She is survived by her husband, Don Jensen; sons, Darby Clay and Brad Jensen; daughter, Lori Willmarth; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rose Dolan, Dorothy Sanks, and Ralph Cook; daughter, Cindy Breen; and son, Scott Jensen.
Dorothy was born in Cheyenne, WY, and was raised in Denver, CO. She lived half of her life and raised two children in Denver, CO, before moving to California in 1978 where she met and married the love of her life, who became her husband of 39 years. Don and Dorothy Jensen relocated to Grand Junction in 1982 where they built, owned, and operated Jensen’s Automotive. Dorothy was a member of Lutheran Church and School of Messiah. She enjoyed bowling, square dancing, roller skating, bingo, horses, and attending team penning competitions with her husband.
Memorial services are scheduled Saturday, February 2, at 2:00 pm at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, 2515 Patterson Road, Grand Junction. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to HopeWest Hospice Care Center, 3090B North 12th Street, Grand Junction, CO 81506.
