

She was born June 11, 1950, in Loving, New Mexico and spent many years in Carlsbad, New Mexico before relocating to Fruita, Colorado with her daughters.
She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Emma and David Castillo; son, Richard Ramirez; grandson, Eric Villa; brother, David Castillo Jr., and son-in-law, Victor Dalpiaz. She is survived by her daughters, Yvonne, (Richard) Sanchez and Erica Dalpiaz; grandchildren, Victoria (Brandon) Hightower, Kristin Valles, Gentry Dalpiaz, Jeremy (Ciauna) Sanchez, and Richard (Leeanna) Sanchez; sisters, Virginia Camarillo, Oralia Dorado, Elida Castillo, Belinda (Randy) Lee, and Elizbeth (Mathew) Vanlew, and an extended family of nieces and nephews.
Diana was a devoted grandmother, mother (in-law), sister, and aunt, sharing her love for others with her creative crafts, blankets, Christmas trees, painting, and her love for cooking. Throughout she lived life to the fullest by celebrating with family and friends, and attending her grandchildren's, daughter's and niece's sporting events, dance, softball, and baseball, where she was known to all as "G".
Diana's heart was larger than life itself and she helped everyone regardless of her situation. She will be deeply missed in the days and years to come, for she was a caregiver for many nieces and nephews and their children.
In keeping with Diana's loving and generous spirit, it was her decision to donate life so that others may live.
Ephesians 4:32 "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ."
Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Diana, visiting hours are Thursday, January 24th, from 5 - 6:00 p.m. with Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Callahan-Edfast Funeral Home, 2515 Patterson Road, Grand Junction, CO 81505. The Mass will be held Friday, January 25th at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 1210 17- ½ Road, Fruita, CO, 81521 interment will follow.
