Eva Ione Trimble

Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.

Survivors include seven sons, Jerry, Larry, David, Steven, Tim, Mitch and John; three daughters, Karen Reed, Judy Melchor and Betty Baldozier; 24 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Eva Ione Trimble

September 17, 1929 - March 25, 2016

Eva Trimble of Grand Junction, CO, went to be with our Lord and Savior on March 25, 2016.

Eva was born September 17, 1929, in Philip, SD, to Anna and Austin O'Dea. She had ten siblings, Vincent, Lawrence, Thomas, Melvin, Raymond, Frances (Bud), Dolores, Mary, Rosie, and Shirley. She grew up in Cottonwood, SD, and graduated high school in Quinn, SD, in 1947.

Eva married John Henry Trimble on October 1, 1949. John and Eva were married for 53 years. They had ten children.

Eva was a great person and a loving mother. The family was able to reminisce about Mom the last two months of her life. There are three things that stand out about those conversations: her ability to pull off delicious meals daily, her calm temperament, and the importance of family. We are thankful for our mom and she will be remembered as we move on to our daily tasks.

Eva is survived by her ten children, Jerry (Karen) Trimble, Larry (Valerie) Trimble, David (Cheryl) Trimble, Karen (Richard) Reed, Steve (Jane) Trimble, Tim (Peggy) Trimble, Mitch Trimble, Judy (Lewis) Melchor, John (Tracey) Trimble, and Betty (Rocky) Baldozier; 24 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, they were the light of her life; and three siblings: Bud O'Dea of Pahrump, NV; Shirley Baye of Box Elder, SD, and Rosie Richmond of Rapid, SD.

A funeral mass will take place on Friday, April 1, at 10:00 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Military honors will follow at 1:00 at Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.
