Gail Lenor Power

Born on June 19, 1948, to Betty Walck (Scott Walck) and Clifford Dwight. Gail grew up in a loving family with many siblings Sandra Hooper, Mike Walck, Randy Walck, Roy Walck, Roxie Ryan, and Lonnie Walck. Graduating from Plateau Valley High School in Collbran CO.

Gail married her devoted spouse Robert (Bob) Power, on July 1, 1966. Together, they had three children Jody Conn (Derek Conn), Brandi Power (Richard Sturns), and Aaron Power (Heidi Power).

Her grandchildren brought immense joy to her life: Kursten Conn, Brittany Astorga (Diego Astorga), Shane Conn (Lexie Conn), Nicholas Conn, Mikayla Sturns, Mariah Sturns, Brayden Sturns, Amayah Power, Natalie Power, Autumn Power, and Hunter Power. She also had three great-grandchildren, Oliver Astorga, Harvie Astorga and Laynie Conn.

Gail had a fulfilling career as a school bus driver for Laidlaw, from 1983 to 2020. Gail drew great pride in driving for the Glade Park Community. Before laidlaw, she worked as a vet tech, showed and groomed dogs, reflecting her lifelong love for animals.

In 2002, Gail moved to Glade Park, Colorado, where she enjoyed many years. In 2017, she moved back to Grand Junction to be closer to her family.

Those who await her coming include her parents, daughter, Jody Conn, granddaughter, Kursten Conn, brother, Lonnie Walck and a host of beloveds gone ahead.

Gail's warmth, kindness, and love for her family and animals will be deeply missed. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and countless cherished memories.

Gail will forever be in our hearts and remembered with love.

A celebration of her life will be held at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary & Crematory on June 21, 2024 at 2:00pm.
