Harold Emory Johnston

Harold was born on May 24, 1953, in La Junta, Colorado, to Roy and Charlene (Thomas) Johnston. Harold spent his childhood in Aurora, Colorado, and attended Hinkley High School. He previously lived in Visalia, California, and in Grand Junction for 20 years. Harold served his Country in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Clifton Christian Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and horseback riding.

Harold is survived by his three sons, Charles Johnston, Clifton, Colorado; Christopher Wadkins, Grand Junction, Colorado; Darren Wadkins, Visalia, California; and his daughter, Christine Johnston, Grand Junction, Colorado; two sisters, Zita Aldridge of Florida and Lenna Kontour of Texas; his grandchildren, Johnathan Wadkins from Visalia, California; Cynthia Wadkins from Exeter, California; and Stephanie Soto fro San Antonio, Texas.

He was preceded in his death by his parents; his wife, Sharon; his brother, Lester; his son, Craig; and his daughter, Lisa.

Services will take place on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Bookcliff Baptist Church, 2702 Patterson Road, Grand Junction, at 11:00 AM.
