

August 21, 1932 – January 2, 2018
Harry A. Logan of Grand Junction was born in Forder, Colorado, the youngest son of Claude and Grace Logan on August 21, 1932. He had five brothers and two sisters. His parents owned a cattle ranch in Lincoln County, Colorado. He attended a one-room schoolhouse until high school in Hugo, Colorado. He was able to attend most of the high school reunions through out his life up until poor health prevented his attending.
Harry started his college education in 1950 but paused to fulfill his military duty during which he was awarded the soldier of the week. After his military service, he returned to college and graduated with a bachelors degree in mathematics. He began his career as a math teacher but had many different careers through out his life including work with early computers, and finished with 20 years with at Colorado Ute Electric Association that later became Tri-State G & T.
In August 1957 he married Mary Drake at his home church, the Church of the Nazarene in Karvel, Colorado. He and Mary celebrated their 60th anniversary on August 18, 2017.
Harry was the proud father of three children; Rhonda (Logan) Hileman (spouse Cary Hileman) of Colorado Springs, Eric Logan (spouse Claudia Logan) of Olathe, Colorado, and Colin Logan (spouse Jennifer Moss Logan) of Denver, Colorado.
Among Harry’s greatest joys was serving his church, the First Church of the Nazarene in Grand Junction. He enjoyed his family, especially the grand children, and many hobbies including woodworking, and churning ice cream by hand.
Harry is survived by his wife, three brothers, three children, six grand children, and 14 great-grand children.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 11:30 am at Martin Mortuary 550 North Avenue, Grand Junction, Colorado, 81501. A burial service will take place immediately following the visitation at Veteran’s Cemetery.
A memorial service will be on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the First Church of the Nazarene, 2802 Patterson Road, Grand Junction, Colorado, 81506.
