Irene M Wilson

Irene was born on September 1, 1933 in Divide Creek, CO from the union of Harold and Elizabeth “Grandma Bessie” Beard. She spent her childhood in the Divide Creek and Craig area. She married Marvin “Bud” Wilson and he preceded her in death on July 29, 1980 in Denver, CO.

Irene was a member of the Rifle United Methodist Presbyterian Church and volunteered for the Area Agency on Aging, the Rifle Senior Center and the Rifle Visitor Center. She was a member of the Moose Lodge, Rebecca’s Lodge, Eastern Star and T.O.P.S. Club. She enjoyed playing bingo, working in her flower beds, sewing and making wedding cakes.

Irene leaves behind two daughters; Twilla (Walter) Johnson of Grand Junction, CO and Teresa (Frank) Schoen of Delta, CO, seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the Rifle United Methodist Presbyterian Church, 200 E 4th St, Rifle, CO 81650
