

He is preceded in death by his parents. Survived by his loving and devoted Wife of 26 years Pat Ohlrich; His brother Warren Ohlrich of Moab, UT; Son Jim Ohlrich JR and wife Melonie of WVC, UT; Daughter LeAnn Young and husband Lane of Grantsville, UT; Son Sean Ohlrich and Wife Mellissa of Beaumont, TX; And Daughter Jennifer Bumstead and husband Mike of Kountze, TX; He had 8 Grand Children and 10 Great Grandchildren, along with many friends in both Texas and Colorado.
At the age of 15, Jim left Chicago and moved to Albany, WI to live with his Uncle Art and Aunt June Ohlrich where he helped out on their dairy farm until he graduated High School. After graduating, Jim entered into the Army and was a proud Vietnam War Veteran. After the Military he entered into law enforcement as an officer for Silsbee Police Department and then as a Sheriff's Deputy for Hardin County, both in Texas.
After his law enforcement career, he honed his love and art of carpentry and spent 30 years as a master carpenter in and around southeast Texas.
1998, Jim married Pat Talbot, resident of Lumberton, TX and shortly after they moved to Carbondale, CO where he was employed as a problem solver for Hanson Construction in Aspen, CO. After 5 years in Aspen, they moved to Grand Junction where he retired in 2012. In 2014, Jim and Pat bought a second home in Lumberton, TX where they wintered for 10 years. They returned to Grand Junction shortly before his passing, where he was cared for by his wife and caring neighbors.
Family will be holding services at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado at a later date.
