Jared was born in Bordentown, New Jersey, where he spent most of his life. He also lived in Miami and Grand Junction, Colorado.
Jared was a kind soul and instant friend to all who met him. He was always willing to lend a hand. His last act was shielding a friend from the gunman who committed this senseless act.
Jared was pre-deceased by his mother Sally (Carei) Martinez. He is survived by his father Augustine Martinez, Sister Samantha, Brother Liam and grandmother Piedad Robertson He will be missed by his many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins as well as his roommates.
Jared attended Clara Barton Elementary and Bordentown High School. He graduated from Miami Palmetto High School. He was attending Colorado Mesa University at the time of his death.
Jared was three-sport varsity athlete: Wrestling, soccer and track, while at Bordentown High School and Palmetto High
There will be a vigil at Colorado Mesa University at the Reflection for Relection on Wednesday February 24 at 6:00pm Due to Covid restrictions, memorial services in Miami, Florida and Bordertown, New Jersey will be held at a future date.
