Jeannette “Korky” Rose, 72, of Clifton, died April 19, 2017, at her beloved daughter’s home in Grand Junction, Colorado. She was born May 1, 1944, in Wheatridge, Colorado, to Louis and Doris Hladek. She is survived by her husband, Max Rose; brother, Anthony of Colorado Springs; son, Robert (Janine); daughter, Tami (Jack Sr.); son, David; and daughters, Jolene and Iva.
Korky was the rock of her family, who cherished and supported each member of her family through her guidance, humor, and sense of adventure. She loved her grandchildren and their spouses: Robert Louis (Sarah), Jack Jr., Arthur (Sondra), James, Justin (Amber), Johnny (Megan), Lyndsey (Mateo), Robyn (Travis), AJ (Keegan), Jessica, Joseph, and Riley. Her great-grandchildren, Hayden, Brittney, Jacob, Taylor, Vanessa, Olan, and Tyson, held a special place in her heart, and she could always be counted on to spoil them “just a little.”
Korky was a long-time resident of the Grand Valley, which gave her the opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors. She loved traveling, fishing, camping, painting, and took great pleasure in riding her ATV “Grasshopper” along the scenic landscape of Western Colorado. Her most cherished activities always included her family and friends.
The memorial service will be held at Canyon View Vineyard Church in Grand Junction, Colorado, on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at 11:00 am. After the service, friends are welcome to fellowship with the family. Snacks and finger foods will be provided.
Memorial contributions may be made to HopeWest Hospice at www.hopewestco.org.
