On Thursday, June 4, 2020, Jeremiah (Jerry) Foster, loving husband, father, brother and friend, passed away at the age of 66. Jerry was born on August 19, 1953 to John and Oneita Foster in Grand Junction, CO.
He grew up in Grand Junction where he met his wife, Judy Sievers. The two were married in Gunnison, Colorado in 1980, and resided in Dallas, TX where Jerry worked for Gardner-Denver Company. In 1981 his daughter, Teresa, was born. The three of them relocated to Utah with Gardner-Denver before returning to Grand Junction, where he lived out the rest of his life. After leaving Gardner-Denver, he worked at the original Feed Lot restaurant as chef until the restaurant closed. Jerry then began his career as a Parts and Sales Manager at Mesa Mack Trucking.
Jerry found joy in cooking, hunting, fishing, gardening and anything outdoors. He spent hours working on cars and rebuilding anything he could take apart and fix. He was always willing to help a neighbor in need. Jerry genuinely enjoyed any time spent with family and his love for family was apparent in his voice, his smile, and his generous nature.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Brian.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; daughter, Teresa; siblings, John, Suzanne (Ed) Irish, Rose (Bob) Loos, Joe, Cindy (Drew) Leonard, Oneita Potter, Virginia (Dennis) Branco, Carrie (Seth) Baldridge; and many beloved nieces, nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and long-time friends.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, followed by interment at Memorial Gardens. The family will host a reception to celebrate Jerry at Redlands Community Center from noon to 4 pm.
