It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jerry Lee Beckley, a beloved husband, father, friend, and man of God. He passed on October 23,2023 in Grand Junction Colorado, at the age of 89 with his family close by.
Born on March 22, 1934, Jerry grew up in the Delta Colorado area. As a young boy he wanted nothing more than to be a “real” cowboy and loved riding with his Uncle Art on cattle drives starting at age five. He served in the Navy from 1953 - 1957. He was drawn to the Lord and had a passion for the word of God, even attending Bible school and becoming a Pastor for a time. He never lost his passion for God and it shaped his life. He touched the lives of many with his unwavering love for the Lord.
He leaves behind his Six Children: Kevin Beckley (Vicki), Katherine Roberts-Butterbaugh (Chuck), Lorinda Beckley, Dawn Tobin (Dennis), Timothy Beckley, and Suzette Cordova (Matt). Eleven Grandchildren: Jason Thompson, David Turner, TK Roberts, Matthew Tobin, Savannah Roberts, Brittany Tobin-Taga, Christian Schuller, Tiffany Schuller, Katie Beckley, Dylan Beckley, and Kaylee Cordova. Six Great Grandchildren: Revan Kelly-Roberts, Luna Kelly-Roberts, Lydia Schuller, Julia Tobin, Torvi Schuller, and James Tobin. His Two Sisters: Barbara (Bobbie) Broadbent and Sandy Carrow. He was predeceased by his father George Beckley (1963), his mother Mary Hewlett-Beckley (2004), and his loving wife Linda Lee Lamm-Beckley (2005).
A Veterans Memorial Service in Honor of Jerry will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, promptly at 10:00 am. At the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado, 2830 Riverside Parkway, Grand Junction, CO 81501. Friends and family are invited to join us in remembering and honoring him.
