

Jerry H. Schwartz, 76, passed away Tuesday April 10th 2018 in Grand Junction, Colorado. Jerry was born December 10th 1941, the 1st of twins to Lyle and Henrietta(Koehn) Schwartz in Orange, New Jersey.
He Graduated from Los Angeles City High June 19th 1959. His love of the outdoors led him to travel. Jerry visited almost all the states in the United States. His favorite was Alaska. His hobbies included many trades such as mechanics, woodworking, science, drafting and math.
In 1964, Jerry became an elevator constructor in Hawaii. In the elevator trade he became successful and accomplished. On August 7th 1965, Jerry married his best friend, Linda (Kindred) in North Hollywood, California. They began a family and relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada March 1970. Jerry was a traditional head of the house. A loving husband and father who always made sure his wife and daughters were taken care of.
He retired in 1998 an honorary member or the International Union of Elevator Constructors Local #18. During his retirement he designed, drafted and built his dream house in Grand Junction, Colorado. Jerry also enjoyed traveling, gardening, and carpentry.
Survivors include his wife, Linda; his two daughters, Carol Joren of Las Vegas and Susan Schwartz of Grand Junction; 6 grandchildren, Dustin Rasmussen, Denton Rasmussen and Justin Joren of Las Vegas, Nevada, Mathew Schwartz, Heidi Crouch and Samantha Crouch of Grand Junction, Colorado and 10 great grandchildren; two sisters Joan Gothie and Catherine(Judy) Hamilton of California; and one brother Lyle (Larry) Schwartz of Arizona; as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lyle Schwartz and Henrietta (Koehn); his sisters, Shirley (Marlene) Wallis, and his twin sister Sally Moxness.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hope West of Grand Junction, Colorado or your local hospice.
