Our dad John “Jack” Maxwell passed on to the spirit world late Friday afternoon, December 3rd, 2021. At the age of 95 he had a wonderful life experience. He was proud to serve in the Navy and then the Naval Reserve where he obtained the rank of Captain. His career as a Mechanical Engineer took him many places, with him retiring at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. He so loved his family and his extended family and many friends. His best role in life has been as a loving husband to his wife, “my Mary”, and as a father who gave love and boundless support to his three children throughout our lives. 1
Our family will miss him dearly. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Mary, and his daughter, Laurie Neilson of Fruita, CO. He is also survived by his sons, John "Sandy" Maxwell of Fort Collins, CO and Timothy "Scott" Maxwell of Huntsville, AL, as well as his only grandchild, Amy Taylor, and six great grandchildren, also of Huntsville.
