John was born in Rifle, CO to William A. Rogers Jr. and Veleta Jo Erickson-Rogers.
John grew up and worked on The Ranch through his high school years and off and on for a few years after. He started trucking in his early 20's. He drove for City Market, Swallow Oil of Rifle and other different companies and even for himself for awhile. John retired from trucking on May 1, and was getting ready to go to Australia for four months.
I found a stick up note on his desk, it was in his handwritting and said ""Don't cry for me after I'm gone, laugh and play and remember the good times we had.""
Rest in peace my son, Dad.
He is survived by his father, William A. ""Bill"" Rogers; sister, Amy Jo (Chuck) Jones; a brother, Eric; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are 10 a..m Saturday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
