Josia 'Jose' Sheppard

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jose Sheppard, a beloved father, husband, and role model, who left us on September 29, 2025, at the age of 67. He passed away peacefully in his sleep while surrounded by family and loved ones.

Jose Sheppard was born on January 2, 1958, in Florida to Edna and David Sheppard. As a youth he was known to be a troublemaker, but as he matured others began to identify him by his other traits. He was a kind, diligent and passionate man who wanted to better himself every day. As a young man this drive drove him to join the military as an Army Medic. While there, he completed his medical training where he continued to help his fellow soldiers until he decided on a change of pace and left the Army. That change of pace brought him to Colorado, where he would then build an amazing and loving family over the course of the next few years. In his later years, he enjoyed the simplicity of life. He loved to fish, play board games with family and travel whenever he could.

Jose Sheppard is survived by his sons (Nathanial Sheppard and Quinton Sheppard) and his wife (Consuelo Maes). He is also survived by his siblings (Ava, Butch, and Pam). Jose will be missed dearly by all.
