Judith Ann Church

She worked for Avon.

Survivors include her husband, Russell G. Jr.; two sons, Ronald M. of Grand Junction, and Dennis P. of Rogersville, Missouri; one brother, Michael Wood of Hotchkiss; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Friday, June 2, 2017, Judith Ann Church, wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away at the age of 70 years. She was a Grand Junction resident for 46 years.

Judy was born on the 12th of October, 1946, in Hotchkiss, Colorado and raised there on the family farm by her late parents, Harry and Agnes Wood. She attended Hotchkiss High School and graduated in 1965. While attending high school, she met the love of her life, Russell G. Church, who she married on July 19, 1965, in Hotchkiss, Colorado. During their 52 years of marriage, they raised two sons, Ron and Dennis Church.

Judy worked in Avon sales for 27 years, but outside of work, she enjoyed the great outdoors by camping (decorating the camp), four wheeling, and fishing. She also had a love for hosting, entertaining, and decorating during the holidays, especially during Christmas. If anybody knew Judy, every inch of her house was covered with a Christmas decoration that resulted in a spectacular Christmas display.

Judy had an extraordinary love for her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Russell G. Church; sons, Ron (Amy) Church of Grand Junction, CO and Dennis (Erica) Church of Rogersville, MO; brother, Michael (Elaine) Wood of Hotchkiss, CO; 13 grandchildren, and great-grandson.

The memorial service will be held Saturday, June 17, 2017, at 10am at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
