Linda Kay Marshall, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025, at the age of 80 in Grand Junction CO. Born on January 18, 1945 of San José CA, Kay lived a life full of love, adventure, and devotion to her family.
A dedicated and passionate worker, Kay was once a cherished cast member at Walt Disney’s Frontierland, where she shared her love of song and dance, bringing joy to countless visitors. Her time there reflected her lifelong love of storytelling, magic, and making people smile.
Kay had a deep love for crafting and took great joy in passing down her skills and talents to her grandchildren. Whether she was creating whimsical fairy gardens or transforming recycled bottles and containers into magical works of art, she found beauty and possibility in everything around her. Her creativity was boundless, and she inspired those around her to see the magic in the ordinary. Her crafting was more than a hobby—it was a way of sharing love, teaching patience, and encouraging imagination in all who had the privilege of learning from her.
Kay’s greatest joy was her family, who will forever cherish her memory. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mildred (Butts) & William Farr, siblings William (Bill)Farr Jr., John Farr, Rich Farr, Patricia Freemen & Geraldine Farr; Survived by her loving children: Lisa Morales-Campbell (William Campbell), Mitchell Morales, Katherine (Curtis) Thornhill, and Krystal Stone. Her niece Carrie Hall (Freeman). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Anthony Morales-Torres (Julissa), Richard Griego and his children Jelena, Arlene, & Gabriel, Jazmine (Juan) Chavez and their children Julio, Josey, Miabella, Izabella and Gabriella. Johan Campbell, Suji (Andrew) Butler and their children Jaxon & Jinora, Morgan Cole and her children Finnigan & Colton, Joshua Rich and his children Alicia, Abby & Adrian., Jenica Ashcroft and her children Alexis & Shaylynn, Jerimiah (Dinia) Rich and their children Kida & Kiana, Jillissa Rich and her daughter Jayden, Theodore Phillips, and Timothy Phillips, Megan (Justin) Dechant & their children Andrew, Vanessa, Gabriel & Michael. Zackary Stone, Staycee Dieter (Hannah Dalling) and their children Kelsee & Callum. Sylvia (David) Alexander and their children Zachary & Zoey.
The family would like to thank HopeWest Pace, and the staff at St. Mary's in Grand Junction, as well as special thanks to Krystal Stone, Lisa Morales-Campbell & Bill Campbell for their care and concern for Kay.
A celebration of Kay’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 29th at Martins Mortuary in Grand Junction CO, where those who loved her can come together to honor her legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you take a moment to share kindness with others—just as Kay did every day of her life.
