Kenneth Atchison

Kenneth L. Atchison passed away peacefully at his home in Palisade May 29, 2015.

He graduated from Central High School in Grand Junction in 1949. He then served in the U.S. Navy for ten years during the Korean Conflict. Kenneth returned to the Grand Valley to be near family.He eventually joined the Army and trained as a Unit Supply Specialist and Administration Specialist, retiring after twenty nine years of service to his country. He returned often to the Grand Valley to hunt and fish and eventually moved to Palisade. He was active in the Palisade Nazarene Church.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Jacqueline Atchison. One brother, Emery ((Myrna) Atchison and one sister Eileen Covey both of Palisade. He was preceded in death by a brother William Albert Atchison, sister Marlene Hall and two wives, Helen Workman and Barbara Grissom.

A memorial service will be held at the Palisade Nazarene Church 3595 Front Street, Palisade at 11:00 am, Friday, June 5, 2015. Burial will be at the Veterans Cemetery of Western Colorado.
