Kevin Rea Greenlee

Kevin Rea Greenlee, 47, of Delta, Colorado, died July 6, 2017 at Delta County Memorial Hospital. He grew up in Grand Junction and graduated from Grand Junction High School. Kevin was a member of Troop 345 of the Western Colorado Council of Boy Scouts of America and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He had a special interest in auto mechanics and received several certificates of achievement from District 51 Vo-Tech and Mesa State College Vo-Tech programs. After high school graduation he enlisted in the Navy and completed the Machinist’s Mate Class A training course. He served aboard the U.S.S. John F. Kennedy and was active duty during the Persian Gulf War in 1991.

Kevin enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and helped many a friend by using his mechanical skills to repair vehicles and bicycles.

He is survived by his father, Wallace (Sheila) Greenlee of Grand Junction, Colorado; his mother, Beverly (Ken) Grant of Pasadena, California; three brothers, Mark (Kari) Greenlee of Grand Junction, Lindy (Beth) Whitney and Leyden Whitney, both of Denver, Colorado; and a niece, Jenna Greenlee.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Shellia; stepdaughter, Cassie; stepfather, Winston Whitney; and niece, Tiffanie Greenlee.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Salvation Army at 104 E. Hwy 92 Delta, Colorado 81416.
