

He was born in Fairmont, WV on September 30, 1943. The son of Victor and Betty (Tennant) Shaver. A graduate of Clay Battelle High School Class of 1961 Following his graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving from 1961-1965.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lynne Shaver, in 2025 and by his sister Connie S. Watson of West Virginia.
Survivors include his children Brian (Tamara) of Grand Junction, Michael (Jamie) of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, Kenny Shaver, Grand Junction, Jennifer Shaver (Doug Haller) of Fruita, CO and Greg (Shelby) of Riverton, UT. Stepdaughter Michelle Dymock (Justin) of Salt Lake City. 9 Grandchildren, 3 Step Grandchildren, 1 Great-Grandchild. Also surviving are his siblings — sister Jane Yonaley, Kentucky and Mark (Janet) Shaver, South Carolina and several nieces and nephews.
Larry was well known for his strong work ethic. This trait has been instilled in his family as well. Evidence of this work ethic shows in multiple accolades and awards received for exceptional sales and service from his multiple employers.
A Visitation will be held at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary located at 2515 Patterson Road, Grand Junction, on the 16th of March from 4 PM - 8 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held the next day at the same location from 11 AM to 12 PM with Military Honors to follow at 1 PM at the Grand Junction VA Cemetery located at 2830 Riverside Parkway.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to HopeWest Hospice, 3090 N. 12th St. Grand Junction.
