Levi Tyler Fogg, age 31, of Grand Junction, CO, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Levi was born on December 11, 1991 in Grand Junction, CO. He graduated from Fruita Monument High School and attended Colorado Mesa University.
Levi had a very brief stint in the military immediately after graduation from Fruita Monument High School. He also worked in the oil and gas fields, as a motorcycle technician, and in the construction industry before starting a career in law enforcement as a Detentions Deputy with the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office. As a Deputy Sheriff he most enjoyed his roles as a Field Training Officer and Taser Instructor since it afforded him an opportunity to lead, mentor, and teach others.
Levi’s true passion was riding motorcycles, especially dirt bikes. When he was younger, he raced in both motocross and endurance races. In later years he enjoyed trail riding and adventure motorcycle riding. He most enjoyed sharing his passion for dirt bikes with others, whether he was riding with more skilled riders or teaching a beginner. He enjoyed riding with anyone regardless of their skill or experience.
He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and anything that took him to the mountains and off the beaten path. He was also known for his prowess with a BBQ grill and smoker.
Finally, he enjoyed spending time with his most loyal and constant companion, his German Shepard, Rey.
Levi is preceded in death by his Grandmother, Sharon Hetzel.
Survivors include his loving parents, Sherrie McCoy of Windsor, CO and Shannon (Jim) and Laura Fogg of Loma, CO; and his step-brother, Rommel McClaney of Grand Junction, CO.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, Grand Junction, CO on Monday, October 30, 2023 at 1:00pm.
